Mealt Waterfall and Kilt Rock, Isle of Skye

I saw this breathtaking view during my crazy first ever sea kayaking holiday and I was utterly enchanted with it!   

I have stood on that viewing platform beside the top of the waterfall many times, but viewing these famous falls directly from the sea was something else! The sea wasn't exactly flat calm and there was a swell coming in from the north, but somehow I wasn't afraid, not even with the fact that I was foolish enough to be sea kayaking without a wet suit or a dry suit which I would never do anymore and certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone to do either as it is an extremely dangerous sport for inexperienced people and I am lucky to still be here to tell the tale with this one of a kind original oil painting!

I have started this painting by sketching the whole scene in detail with a pencil and then proceeded to spend a couple dozen hours doing a labor of love and pouring my heart into creating this serene looking, but extremely exciting view with traditional oil paints. 

The canvas measures approximately 400 x 300 x 15 mm and the sides are painted too, so no need for framing. The back is fitted with quality D rings and picture wire, so the painting is ready to hang.
