Original acrylic painting on stretched canvas
I've gone for a walk to the McCaig's tower as someone suggested to me why don't I paint it more and they were right!
I've looked at it from every angle, but it wasn't unril I walked inside it 2nd time around when I stopped and looked at this view.
It was a grey overcast day, but the unusual composition was staring me in the face far too much to think of painting the tower from any other angle, so I took some photographs and walked home.
I like the fact that it doesn't matter to me what the weather was doing, that the rhododendrons lost their flowers, that the grass was just plain green or that the gravel path is not pink nor the tower light purple.., but I do like a precise and realistic composition, which I then embellished to my hearts content
Many hours have gone into making this unique painting from the initial drawing until the last layer of varnish and I hope someone will appreciate it.
The canvas is A3 size (420 x 297 mm) and it is approximately 15mm deep.
The sides are painted too, so no need for framing and the wooden frame is fitted with quality D rings and a picture wire, so ready to hang.
The artwork is protected by two layers of acrylic satin varnish, giving the painting a lovely soft sheen.
Only £145.00 for all this bright unique view of this famous landmark!
The painting can be picked up in Oban or posted for free in a very secure packaging in the UK.
