McCaig's Tower sunset, Oban

Here we have my gorgeous original acrylic painting on stretched canvas depicting a well known local view with a colourful twist!  

Who wants to look at grey roofs of houses with more grey of the McCaig's tower when you can have shades of pink and orange?   

I lost count of how many hours this painting had taken me as the pencil sketch alone took 3 hours, followed by a few dozen hours with the paints, making sure every detail is well covered by as many layers of acrylic colours as it took to create this bright, unusual and utterly unique original painting!

This original painting lives its own life and picks up light in wonderful ways that makes it look different every time you look at it and it will always bring back lovely memories of the beautiful coastal town of Oban!

The sides of the stretched canvas are painted too, so no need for framing and the back is fitted with quality D rings and picture wire and is ready to hang.  

The painting measures approximately 300 x 400 x 17 mm.
